Deception is dangerous because those who remain in this state will not have their names written in the book of life pursuant to Revelation 20:15.<\/h5>\n<h5>&nbsp;<\/h5>\n<h5>2.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; The stakes are very high when it comes to deception. Do not place your eternity in the hands of a man\/preacher or any earthly being for that matter.<\/h5>\n<h5>&nbsp;<\/h5>\n<h5>How do we begin to remove religious deception?<\/h5>\n<h5>&nbsp;<\/h5>\n<h5>3.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; People have been born into and adopted into various belief systems. But despite people&rsquo;s thoughts on biblical ideologies, there is One Creator and One Truth. There is a patent on the scriptures, and the Most High has it!! It&rsquo;s not for us to interpret &ndash; the origin of the scriptures has there meaning and they are affixed and unchanging and not based on current culture.&nbsp; Matthew 7:14 &ndash; Straight is the gate and narrow is the way and only a few will find it. Those who are serious about truth will be elected and intentional about finding truth!!<\/h5>\n<h5>&nbsp;<\/h5>\n<h5>4.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Deception is rampant around the world. There are over 45,000 Christian denominations alone.<\/h5>\n<h5>&nbsp;<\/h5>\n<h5>5.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Revelation 12:9 &ndash; Satan has deceived the entire world.&nbsp; The Serpent was the most subtle &ndash; and an emblem of evil and wickedness. He is now enraged &ndash; because of his lower state and call to eternal damnation. Satan is looking for partners or willing participants in destruction.&nbsp; II Timothy 2:15 &#8211; Study to show thyself approved &ndash; a workman rightly dividing the word of truth and those that hunger and thirst for righteousness &ndash; shall be filled.<\/h5>\n<h5>&nbsp;<\/h5>\n<h5>A.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Here are five points to help to remove deception from our lives.<\/h5>\n<h5>&nbsp;<\/h5>\n<h5>I.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Don&rsquo;t rely on your own understanding when it comes to scriptural interpretation and life in general, Proverbs 14:2 &ndash; a man&rsquo;s ways are right in his\/her own eyes. You will become deceived when you lean on your own understanding. Matthew 4:4 &ndash; live by every word and follow the scriptures as they are. Revelation 22:19 &ndash; do not add or take away from the book. See the scriptures as rigid, affixed and firm and not flexible and up for personal interpretation<\/h5>\n<h5>II.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Don&rsquo;t follow false teachers and false doctrine. Search out the scriptures like the Bereans.&nbsp; 2 Corinthians 11:13-15 -3 For such people are false apostles, deceitful workers, masquerading as apostles of Christ. 14 And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. 15 It is not surprising, then, if his servants also masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve. &ndash; We associate a church, a choir and a crucifix and we automatically assume there is truth in these spaces.&nbsp; Church leaders may be wealthy, charismatic and attractive but these are only things that draw us in. &ldquo;Those that do His commandments will have that light, oil and understanding.&rdquo;&nbsp; Draw closer and He will reveal Himself to you &ndash; if you are elected.<\/h5>\n<h5>&nbsp;<\/h5>\n<h5>III.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Stop sinning or intentionally breaking our Aloah&rsquo;s laws or commandments. Presumptuous sins are sins that we know that we have been called to repent and have an awareness that they are wrong and harmful. It is the deceiver goals to make you think that Sin or disobedience is not that bad. We rationalize our sins by saying, &ldquo; I am just human, everyone else is doing it, God will understand.&rdquo;&nbsp; Look at the garden experience, &ldquo;surely you shall not die&rdquo; if you eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. The goal of the enemy is to position us to not see the commandments as the way the Lord has given it to us. There is some fleshly benefit to sin as it does produce pleasure and sensuality. But it brings death! The wages or payment for sin is death. The further you go into sin, the more deceived you become as you run the point to become reprobate(degenerate). Hebrews 3:13 &ndash; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. After deliverance, we do not want to go back in the ways of lawlessness as we lose that sensitivity to the Spirit. It, sin becomes a routine and we get comfortable. After a while it becomes easier to sin and your consciousness is essentially seared. Once you become ensnared, it takes you over. Ephesians 5:5-6. 5 For of this you can be sure: No immoral, impure or greedy person&mdash;such a person is an idolater&mdash;has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.[a] 6 Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of such things God&rsquo;s wrath comes on those who are disobedient. Psalms19:7 &ndash; 13 &ndash; the law of the Lord is perfect as it converts the soul. The knowledge of the law and the beginning of one walking in it will convert you.&nbsp; King David lamented the following: &ldquo;Keep back thy servant from presumptuous sin.&rdquo; Your mind becomes disqualified when you continue in unrepentant sin. Foreordaining to a disqualification. Reprobate.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/h5>\n<h5>&nbsp;<\/h5>\n<h5>IV.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Don&rsquo;t desire to be rich according to the lust of this world! The Messiah (Mashiach) &ndash; the Son of the Most High -didn&rsquo;t come to be allured by the riches of this world. The time will come soon when you will have to set these possessions aside. Trying to maintain and ascertain wealth\/riches will keep you unfocused. Luke Chapter 8:14-22 &ndash; Parable of the Sower and the 4 types of Sowers &ndash; All seeds will not fall on good ground. 1 in 4 will come forth as it was ordained. 4 &ndash; types of believers. Because of the cares of this life many will be disqualified. There is always competition for your allegiance. Do not escalate the priority of materials possessions. Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world.. Mark 10:17 &ndash;Note the example of the rich young ruler. II Timothy 4:9-10. Demas has forsaken me having &ldquo;loved this present world.&#8221;<\/h5>\n<h5>&nbsp;<\/h5>\n<h5>V.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Be a DOER of the WORD! Be not only hearers but also a doer.. Put on the entire armor of our Aloah. That armor will help us to STAND!!
